Cocktail tables are a great addition whatever the occasion, whatever the purpose. If the cocktail table were to serve simply as the primary accent in a living room setting, then a simple centerpiece could do. But if it were for a special occasion, then one might want to fashion it with a sleek table cloth and then a small pot of flowers if it were a formal event, or simple table mats and glass casters if it were for a night of gimmick and partying. The possibilities are virtually endless.
