Common Symptoms and Signs of Anorexic People

by on , under Health and Fitness

Seeing anorexic people is no laughing matter. This is a serious disease that must be controlled as soon as the condition is detected. These people are suffering from an unhealthy eating disorder because they won’t be stopped in starving themselves. This usually starts on the beginning of the puberty period, where most teenagers feel that they need to acquire a certain look and figure in order to belong to a group. Anorexic people have this nagging fear of becoming fat and they continuously think that they are overweight when the fact is that they are already very thin.

Anorexic people typically lose 15 percent of their normal body weight. They refuse to eat even when they become very sickly. Aside from the skinny figure and extreme weight loss, here are some of the most common symptoms of this condition. They usually have brittle skin because they are no longer getting enough vitamins and nutrients on to their system. They are out of breath and weak most of the time. They are very aggressive about their calorie intake. If you or a loved one have these symptoms, it will be best to get professional help as soon as possible and before it gets too late.
